Children's Privacy Notice

COPPA Compliance Statement — Last updated: April 14, 2026

What is COPPA?

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is a U.S. federal law that protects the privacy of children under 13 years of age. It requires websites and online services to obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from children.

Our Commitment to Children's Privacy

1. We Do Not Collect Personal Information From Children

Quendell does not collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13. This includes:

  • Names (real or screen names)
  • Email addresses
  • Physical addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Photos or videos
  • Geolocation information
  • Any other information that could identify a child

2. Account Requirements

Users aged 13 and older may create their own accounts. For children under 13, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account. Children play games under their parent's account, never their own. We verify that account holders for under-13 users are adults through our account creation process.

3. How Game Progress Works

When children play games, their progress (scores, levels completed, etc.) is saved in two ways:

On the Device (All Players)

Game progress is stored on the device using the browser's localStorage. This data includes only gameplay metrics: completed zones, earned rewards, difficulty settings, and puzzle positions. No personal information of any kind is stored — no names, no ages, no photos, no location, and no device identifiers. This data cannot be used to identify any child.

In the Cloud (Parent Accounts Only)

When a parent creates an account, the same anonymous progress data is also saved to our secure servers. This allows progress to survive browser data clearing and enables multi-device play. Cloud data is:

  • Linked to the parent's account, never to a child's identity
  • Contains zero personal information about the child
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Deletable by parents at any time from the Parent Dashboard

Without a Parent Account

Children can play all games without any account. Progress is saved only on the device via localStorage. No data is sent to our servers. Clearing the browser will reset all progress.

4. No Social Features

Quendell has no features that allow children to communicate with anyone:

  • No chat or messaging
  • No forums or comments
  • No multiplayer with strangers
  • No public profiles
  • No social media integration

5. No Behavioral Advertising

We do not:

  • Show advertisements to children
  • Use tracking cookies
  • Share data with advertisers
  • Build profiles of children's behavior
  • Use any third-party analytics that track children

Parental Rights Under COPPA

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

Review Information

View all data associated with your account, including any game progress saved for your children. Access this anytime from your Parent Dashboard.

Delete Information

Delete any or all data associated with your account at any time. This includes game progress, child profiles, and your account entirely.

Refuse Further Collection

You may request that we stop any further collection of information (though we collect none from children to begin with) and delete your account.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of your parental rights:

  1. Log in to your Parent Dashboard
  2. Navigate to "Data Management"
  3. Choose "Export Data," "Reset Progress," or "Delete Account"

Verifiable Parental Consent

Before any data is stored to our servers (beyond essential cookies for site functionality), we obtain verifiable parental consent through our account creation process, which requires:

  • Confirmation that the user is 18 or older
  • Agreement to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  • For premium features: payment card verification (an FTC-approved method)

Changes to This Notice

If we make material changes to how we handle children's information, we will:

  • Update this notice with a new "Last updated" date
  • Notify registered parents via email
  • Obtain new consent if required
