🔒 Important: Quendell is designed for players of all ages, with special protections for children under 13. For specific information about how we protect children's privacy, please see our Children's Privacy Notice.

1. Introduction

Quendell ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children under 13. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our website and games.

2. Information We Collect

From Account Holders:

  • Account Information: Email address and password when you create an account (must be 13 or older, or a parent/guardian for under-13 users)
  • Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers
  • Communication: Information you provide when contacting us

From Children:

  • We do not collect personal information from children.
  • Game progress is saved anonymously and associated with the parent account, not the child
  • No names, emails, photos, or other personal data is collected from children

Automatically Collected:

  • Basic device information (browser type, screen size) for game functionality
  • Game progress and scores (anonymous, not linked to any individual)

Local Device Storage (localStorage):

Game progress is stored on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and contains only gameplay information such as scores, completed zones, earned rewards, difficulty settings, and puzzle progress. No personal information (names, emails, photos, locations, or anything that could identify a person) is ever stored locally.

This data persists between browser sessions so players can pick up where they left off. Clearing your browser data will remove this progress.

Cloud Storage (Registered Accounts Only):

If you create a parent account, the same anonymous game progress data is also saved to our secure servers (hosted by Supabase). This enables:

  • Progress recovery if browser data is cleared
  • Playing across multiple devices
  • Parent dashboard access to view your child's game activity

Cloud-stored data contains only gameplay metrics (zones completed, sparks earned, difficulty scores, puzzle piece positions). It is linked to your parent account — never to a child's identity.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide and improve our games
  • To save game progress for registered users
  • To process payments for premium features
  • To respond to your inquiries
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties except:

  • Service Providers: Such as our payment processor (Stripe) and hosting provider
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

We also use browser localStorage to save game progress on your device. This is not a cookie — it is a standard browser storage mechanism that does not track you across websites. It contains only anonymous gameplay data (scores, levels, rewards) and no personal information. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
